There is some good news about a WWE superstar who was injured during a recent match.

Lexis King is part of the new Birthright stable on the WWE NXT brand that also features Uriah Connors, Arianna Grace with her fiancé Stacks, along with the group’s newest member, Charlie Dempsey.

The idea behind Birthright is that they are the children of championship wrestlers from the past, so it’s their birthright to succeed in pro wrestling.

King is the son of the late, great Brian Pillman, Dempsey is the son of William Regal, Connors is the son of Fit Finlay, and Grace is the daughter of Santino. Stacks isn’t related to a legendary wrestler, but he is going to marry Grace, so at least he’s part of the group by association.

Even though Regal, Finlay, Pillman, and Santino are not in the WWE Hall of Fame yet, all of them certainly have the credentials to be there and will likely be honored in the future. Regal and Finlay work behind the scenes in WWE, while Santino is the Director of Authority in TNA, and has worked with Grace on TNA, especially since she’s the current TNA Knockouts Champion.

Lexis King Among The Injured At WWE Live Event

At an NXT live event match in Lakeland, Florida, Birthright was in action against the quartet of Elio LeFleur, Eli Knight, Kale Dixon, and Tavion Heights. During the match, Lexis King took a hard knee to the face that apparently hurt him enough that the referee made the X signal with his arm to signify a legit injury. However, King was able to continue the match.

There was also an injury concern for WWE Speed Champion Elio LeFleur in the match since he suffered an arm injury that stopped the match.

The good news is that Fightful Select reports that Lexis King is feeling okay after a rough spot in the NXT tag team match.
