Becky Lynch Wants To Reignite Iconic Feud At WWE Royal Rumble 2026

Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch is ready to rekindle an old rivalry in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.

The WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch has done it all and won it all in her incredible career.

Lynch, who turned 39 on January 30th, is a 7-time WWE Women’s World Champion who has held the Women’s IC Title twice, and she’s looking to win her second Women’s Royal Rumble match, after having won it for the first time in 2019.

During an appearance on ESPN’s First Take, Becky Lynch was asked if there was somebody she was looking forward to eliminating in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. Lynch replied with a smile.

“Oh that is a great question. Everybody. Absolutely everybody. Gosh, who do I look forward to…I really look forward to eliminating Moody Maxxine (Dupri), she’s been a thorn in my side, big liar, awful person.

Gosh, who else? Charlotte Flair, let me get rid of her again. Let’s run that back. Everybody loved it the last time.

Asuka…awful Asuka, terrible. She stepped to me the other day, I didn’t appreciate that. I’ve beaten her many times. She says nobody is ready for Asuka…I’m always ready for her. Really, everybody. Absolutely everybody. She did cost me that match at WarGames where AJ Lee, absolute joke AJ Lee, said that she tapped me out, which she didn’t. It was really because of Asuka, I was calling her over.”

The Becky Lynch-Charlotte Flair rivalry saw the two WWE icons face off many times in the late 2010s, and they were also part of the first women’s WrestleMania main event in 2019, along with Ronda Rousey. Who won that WrestleMania 35 main event in 2019 to become a double champion? Becky Two Belts, of course.

Becky Lynch Has Multiple Titles She Wants To Challenge For

As her current heel character, Becky Lynch is known for being a bit over the top and saying just about anything to get a reaction.

When ESPN First Take asked Lynch about what champion she might challenge if she wins the Royal Rumble, Becky Lynch offered a unique response, as usual.

“Well, here’s the thing. So, I’m in a list all by myself because I don’t know if you know this, but I’m the greatest female wrestler of all time.

And it’s not just me saying it. Other people say it. Actually, everybody says it. Uh, Sports Illustrated says it. The Bleacher Report says it. I’m pretty sure ESPN says it. Um, so really I am in a list all by myself. It would do nothing other than continue my list and my legacy of greatness, which is going to continue while I win the 2026 Royal Rumble.

You know, really, I have the best lawyers in the country. I probably shouldn’t be in the Royal Rumble because this [Women’s Intercontinental Championship] is the most important title in all of WWE right now. And me.

Everybody wants to challenge me for my title, but they’re not going to get an opportunity to do that because I’m going to win the Royal Rumble. And then I’m going to challenge, maybe I’ll challenge both of them. Maybe I’ll take all three titles. I think the business would be a lot better off if I had all three titles.”

The WWE Royal Rumble takes place this Saturday, January 31st, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Here’s the lineup.

  • Men’s Royal Rumble Match
  • Undisputed WWE Championship: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Sami Zayn
  • Women’s Royal Rumble Match
  • AJ Styles vs. Gunther – If Styles loses, then he must retire

The Royal Rumble streams live on Saturday, January 31, at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT, exclusively on ESPN in the United States and Netflix internationally.
