All Backstage References To Vince McMahon Removed In WWE

Following his shock retirement from WWE, it has emerged that the company has wasted no time in removing backstages references to former Chairman, Vince McMahon.

The 22nd of July 2022 will be remembered forever in wrestling history as the day Vince McMahon finally relinquished his hold of WWE and announced his retirement. The move came amid ongoing investigations into McMahon over serious allegations of sexual misconduct and hush money payments to former employees.

With change sweeping through the company, both Stephanie McMahon and WWE President Nick Khan have been named co-CEO while Triple H (Paul Levesque) is now overseeing both talent relations and the company’s creative direction.

The new era was in full swing on Monday Night Raw and many commentators noticed immediate differences with the new regime in charge. According to a report by PWinsider, the changes were not just on-screen as all references to Vince McMahon had been removed from the backstage area.

The report read:

“What had previously been billed as Vince’s Office before his exit from the company is now listed as the CEO OFFICE backstage, and there is a second office backstage featuring signage for “Paul Levesque.” All the old signage that would have featured Vince McMahon’s name is nowhere to be found.”

A recent report also shed light on memory issues that have been alleged to have plagued Vince McMahon for several years now.
