Backstage Reaction In WWE To Danhausen’s Run So Far
Danhausen received a mixed reaction when he made his WWE debut at the Elimination Chamber.
The cheers and jeers during his segment led to him cutting a self-depricating joke on the following episode of Raw, claiming that he debuted to a thunderous applause and ‘tears.’
During the same taping, he ‘cursed’ Dominik Mysterio, leading to him losing his Intercontinental Championship to Penta.
Along the way, he has made appearances on both Raw and SmackDown, cursing The Miz as well as the Original El Grande Americano, which led to the latter getting taken out on last week’s taping of the red brand.
Danhausen has also casually addressed the fans on both shows while appearing during commercial breaks.
According to a report by Fightful Select, WWE is happy with how the 35-year-old is being received, especially after the mixed reception during the Chamber PLE.
Those who @FightfulSelect spoke to in WWE were happy with the quick turnaround of Danhausen. Most in the company knew that the debut was a flop, but said that the situation didn’t rattle him, and he responded well.
Danhausen Reveals Details About His Imminent In-Ring WWE Debut
Since debuting on WWE, Danhausen has been featured in non-wrestling segments.
While fans have loved his backstage interactions, with time, they will begin asking questions if he does not compete in matches.
During an appearance on Raw Recap, he was asked when he would be making his in-ring debut, to which he replied that he had some other things to take care of beforehand.
I hope soon. So far, I’m just going through and cursing some fellows, trying to make some friends, and possibly setting up some matches so that I can win. And that gives me more money, and then it gives me a more likely chance to get on the truck.
I think that’s good because if I get on the truck and then people see me on the truck, they will know who Danhausen is, they will take a picture of my face and Google it, and then also, the truck, I should be on the sphere in Las Vegas.
