AJ Styles Teases His Plans For WWE Hall Of Fame Induction Speech
Following his retirement at the 2026 Royal Rumble, AJ Styles was advertised for an appearance during the Georgia taping.
On February 23, Styles said his final goodbye to the WWE Universe, thanking his hometown fans for their continued support.
To conclude his speech, The Phenomenal One placed his jacket and gloves in the center of the ring, signaling the end of an illustrious wrestling career.
Just when the fans thought the segment had ended, The Undertaker’s gong hit to everyone’s surprise. Taker said he had unfinished business with Styles, leading fans to briefly speculate on the revival of their feud from 2020.
Instead, he announced to AJ Styles and the world that the 48-year-old would be an inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026.
The two veterans hugged, and Styles’ family joined him in the ring to celebrate.
AJ Styles Reveals What He Has Planned For His Hall Of Fame Speech
AJ Styles has plans ready for what he wants to do and say during his Hall of Fame induction on April 17.
Speaking on The Phenomenally Retro Podcast, he revealed that he hopes to keep hiss speech to the point and does not wish to extend his time on the stage, claiming that great speeches often lose the audience if they are long.
I’m going to try not to piss everybody off who came there to see all the other inductions. I’m going to try not to be one of those guys where you’re watching and thinking, ‘Holy cow, wrap it up.’ Everybody’s thinking the same thing — like, ‘Alright, man, that was good, that was great… okay.
So I’m going to make sure I stay within the guidelines and not make people hate AJ Styles based on his Hall of Fame speech. Short and sweet is probably the best way to do it. I know there are guys who try to put a little more comedy into theirs, which is great. I don’t know exactly how it’s going to be or what I’m going to say…
…but I know I’ve got a lot of people I need to thank. I want to tell the fans how much I appreciate them for getting me this far, because I’ve never looked at myself and thought I should have made it. The fact that I did — that’s a testament to the kind of fans that are out there. [H/T: Ringside News]
