AEW’s Jim Ross Speaks Out After Suffering Broken Hip

Jim Ross

Jim Ross is on the mend after a tough few months for the AEW announcer as he reveals he suffered a broken hip.

Legendary announcer Jim Ross has revealed on social media that he underwent cancer surgery on February 1st. Ross said the surgery was on his right hip and went well.

The veteran has faced numerous health struggles in recent years, on top of his well-documented battle with Bell’s Palsy. In October 2021, Ross announced he’d been diagnosed with skin cancer, but after extensive treatment, he confirmed he was cancer-free that December.

Taking to social media, Jim Ross has now confirmed that he suffered a broken hip but he is on the mend and on the road to recovery:

First full day on Jax Beach and out of the rehab facility! Using a cane for now. Improving daily. Broken hip responding well. Excited for my future with @AEW!

Is Jim Ross Staying With AEW?

Jim Ross has revealed when his AEW contract is due to end and it means that his time with the company could soon be over.

However, his assertion that he is excited about his future with Tony Khan’s company suggests that he could be sticking around for the foreseeable future and a new deal could have been agreed upon.
