AEW Adds TNT Title Match To June 14th Dynamite

Wardlow will defend the TNT Title on the June 14th episode of Dynamite which is full of huge matches.

It was the April 19th edition of AEW Dynamite when Wardlow defeated Powerhouse Hobbs to win the TNT Title for the third time. Considering Wardlow’s second TNT Title reign lasted only two days, it was a good thing that he had WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson watching his back to help Wardlow win the title.

All Elite Wrestling has announced that Wardlow will defend that TNT next Wednesday on Dynamite in Washington, DC against Jake Hager of the Jericho Appreciation Society.

While Jake Hager is a former World Champion in WWE when he used the name Jack Swagger, he hasn’t been able to win any titles in AEW after joining the company in October 2019 on the first episode of Dynamite.

Hager’s career record in AEW is 24-24 and his 2023 record of 4-6 does not seem that impressive, yet he’s getting a title shot for some reason.

The TNT Title match will be the second championship match on Dynamite this week with the Women’s Title also on the line along with Adam Cole facing AEW World Champion MJF in a non-title match.

The updated lineup for AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, June 14th looks like this:

AEW World Championship Eliminator Match: MJF vs. Adam Cole – If Cole wins then he gets a future AEW World Title match against MJF.

AEW Women’s World Championship Match: Toni Storm (c) vs. Skye Blue

TNT Championship Match: Wardlow (c) vs. Jake Hager

Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta) vs. The Elite – “Hangman” Adam Page and The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson)

Swerve Strickland, Brian Cage & The Gates of Agony vs. Orange Cassidy, Keith Lee, Darby Allin & Sting
