AEW Star “Politicked” For Jon Moxley Match

AEW

A former title holder in AEW has discussed the lengths he went to trying to get a match with Jon Moxley at the end of 2022.

Former AEW World Champion and Blackpool Combat Club member Jon Moxley is on the wishlist for many wrestlers, but FTR’s Dax Harwood certainly has a good right to stake a claim for a match against Mox.

In a discussion on his FTR With Dax Harwood podcast, the former multi-promotion Tag Team Champion admitted he politicked Tony Khan to try and make the match happen towards the end of 2022, with both of them high in the rankings for best wrestler of the year.

I politicked so much to Tony [Khan] to allow him and I to work towards the end of the year because I wanted to have a who is the better wrestler in 2022. I’ve worked very hard.

It seems like there were prospects of the contest taking place, but circumstances got in the way of it becoming a reality.

Just some circumstances got in the way and that never happened. The one experience I had with him in the ring, I absolutely loved it, and I hope 2023 brings forth a match for him and I.

Dax Harwood also discussed the passing of Jay Briscoe, and how much of a family man he was.
