AEW News: Jon Moxley and QT Marshall Absent from AEW Dynamite Tonight Due to Health Precautions
There are some changes to AEW’s Dynamite TV lineup tonight. They don’t have any positive Coronavirus cases to report, which is good, but they did change two segments due to precautionary reasons.
The AEW World Champion Jon Moxley is not going to be on the show and neither is QT Marshall, who was scheduled for a tag team match. Here’s an update via the Twitter account of AEW President Tony Khan.
Recently @JonMoxley had contact with someone who had contact with someone who has COVID-19. Mox did the right thing & warned us. Doc asked him to stay home & get tested to protect us here at our test site. Cage will be in action tonight on #AEWDynamite ahead of their title fight pic.twitter.com/TWbskkzU2Z

Since last week’s show, in his everyday life, QT had brief contact with a non-wrestling acquaintance who since tested positive for COVID-19. Rather than risk bringing QT to our test site, our doc asked him to stay home & take a COVID test back in GA to protect the rest of us here https://t.co/eeN8VmF2nP

Jon Moxley can get slammed on a car, crawl through tacks & fall through the stage, but it’s every bit as cool that he came forward & told us he’d had secondhand exposure to COVID. We test everyone here at #AEWDynamite, but Jon protected everyone onsite like the great champ he is

That means the AEW lineup for Dynamite tonight looks like this:
* FTR vs. So Cal Uncensored
* Santana vs. Matt Hardy
* Luchasaurus vs. Wardlow
* Brodie Lee and Colt Cabana vs. Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss
* Brian Cage in action
* TNT Champion Cody will be there
Tonight’s episode of Dynamite is going to be live on TNT in the USA. I’ll have a review on TJRWrestling late tonight or early tomorrow.
TJR Thoughts: Good for AEW for taking precautions as well as Moxley and Marshall in letting their bosses know.
