AEW Hasn’t Made Move For WWE Target

Tony Khan AEW Triple H WWE

WWE’s chances of landing a highly-rated star have increased dramatically.

Back in November, it was reported that WWE was interested in signing Giulia. The star is widely regarded as one of the best female wrestlers on the planet, earning praise across the board for her time with Stardom.

While the company’s interest in Giulia stretches back to 2019, it appears there’s a greater chance than ever they’ll secure her signature. In fact, it’s been reported that WWE has offered a contract to the current NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that whatever the future holds for Giulia, it seemingly won’t include AEW. The veteran journalist revealed the promotion has never made a “serious play” for the star.

“Nothing new on Giulia past that AEW has never made a serious play for her and she’s had no conversations with AEW and is not considering them. It’s WWE or staying in Japan.”

WWE Retains Interest In Kazuchika Okada

It’s been reported that Kazuchika Okada is set to become a free agent in January 2024. Furthermore, there is a belief that the star is seriously entertaining the possibility of leaving NJPW, although it remains to be seen as to whether it actually happens.

More recently, it was announced that Kazuchika Okada will be returning to TNA Wrestling in January, alongside Will Ospreay, Hijo del Vikingo, and more.
