1973 – Verne Gagne won his sixth AWA World Heavyweight Championship with a win over The Crusher in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

1986 – WWE taped the ninth edition of ‘Saturday Night’s Main Event’ in Hartford, Connecticut. The main event saw Hulk Hogan victorious over Paul Orndorff in a steel cage match.

1992 – The Hellraisers (Road Warrior Hawk and Kensuke Sasaki defeated Tony Halme and Scott Norton to win the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship.

1998 – On an episode of Raw Is War held in Tacoma, Washington, Ken Shamrock and The Big Boss Man defeated The New Age Outlaws (Billy Gunn and Road Dogg) to win the WWF Tag Team Championship.

2003WWE’s ‘Armageddon’ PPV took place at the TD Waterhouse Center in Orlando, Florida. The theme of the night was a clean sweep of title gold for Evolution. In the opener, Randy Orton defeated Rob Van Dam to win the Intercontinental Championship.

Secondly, Ric Flair and Batista won the WWE Tag Team Championship in a Tag Team Turmoil match against The Dudley Boyz, La Resistance, The Hurricane & Rosey, Val Venis & Lance Storm, Test & Scott Steiner and Garrison Cade & Mark Jindrak. In the main event, the set was complete when Goldberg won the World Heavyweight Championship from Goldberg in a triple-threat match that also included Kane.

2008WWE Armageddon was held at the HSBC Arena in Buffalo, New York. In the main event, Jeff Hardy won his first WWE Championship in a triple-threat match with Edge and Triple H.

2009 – The WWE Slammy Awards took place on an episode of Raw with John Cena taking the Superstar Of The Year award and Sheamus voted Breakout Star Of The Year.

2013 – Ring Of Honor’s ‘Final Battle’ PPV took place at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. Tommaso Ciampa won the ROH Television Championship from Matt Taven. In the main event, Adam Cole retained the ROH World Heavyweight Championship in a three-way match against Jay Briscoe and Michael Elgin. After the match, Chris Hero made his return to ROH after his WWE release.

2014 – WWE’s ‘TLC: Tables, Ladders And Chairs‘ PPV emanated from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The event saw Dolph Ziggler win the Intercontinental Championship against Luke Harper in a ladder match. In the main event, Bray Wyatt defeated Dean Ambrose in a TLC match.

2015 – In a rare WWE Championship title change on free TV, Roman Reigns took the belt from Sheamus on Raw at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

2018 – Ring Of Honor’s ‘Final Battle’ PPV took place at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. In the main event, Jay and Mark Briscoe won the ROH Tag Team Championship in a Ladder War against reigning champions SCU (Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky) and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson). Kelly Klein won the Women Of Honor Championship in a Fatal Four Way match against champion Sumie Sakai, Karen Q and Madison Rayne. Cody Rhodes also took on Jay Lethal.
