Major WWE Star Reveals Wicked Plan To Retire Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes is determined to reclaim the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Rhodes lost the title to Drew McIntyre on the January 9 episode of SmackDown during the Three Stages of Hell match.
Going into the bout as the champion, Cody lost the first fall, but came back by winning the Street Fight. The third fall took place inside a steel cage.
During the closing minutes, a returning Jacob Fatu attacked McIntyre, forcing Rhodes to interject himself. However, Fatu now attacked him, giving McIntyre the window to escape the cage, thus becoming the new champion.
The Scottish Warrior has since been expecting a return challenge from The American Nightmare but Rhodes has business to tend to with The Samoan Werewolf.
At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 24, a singles match was scheduled between the two. However, the bout never got underway as the superstars fought around the building without the match ever starting.
In the end, Drew McIntyre appeared and put them both through tables.
Drew McIntyre Reveales His Plan To Take Out Cody Rhodes In WWE
The 40-year-old Scot recently appeared on TMZ Sports’ Inside The Ring podcast, where he revealed his wicked plan to retire the former champion, which he offered to do just like The Rock, which was by taking his soul.
I’ve got what matters most to him, the WWE Championship. No matter what he has in this world, this thing was the most important thing to him. And as time goes by, he’s going to slowly start slipping mentally.
Eventually, he’s gonna go crazy, and then I’m gonna slip in and take his soul and kick him out the door and say, ‘Congratulations on a great career.’
You know, this is, it’s a big moment for Cody. You know, he lost everything, and he’s going to dig deep and can he fight his way up. (…) I believe Cody will give it his all. He will fight back up so he can fight Drew McIntyre once again. So inspiring. Then I’ll beat him again and take a slip.
