A recent opponent of CM Punk had some nice things to say about the WWE World Champion.

As the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk has proven to be a fighting champion just like he said he was.

During three World Title matches on Monday Night Raw in January, CM Punk successfully defended the World Heavyweight Title against Bron Breakker on January 5th, and he did so again two weeks later against Finn Balor.

On Monday’s Raw on January 26th, CM Punk put the title on the line against AJ Styles, only for Balor to show up and ruin the match between the two WWE legends.

Bron Breakker Is A Fan Of CM Punk’s Promos

While Punk has proven he is still arguably the “best in the world” in the ring, he’s also one of the most notorious trash-talkers in WWE history.

In an interview with ComingSoon.net, former Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker had some massive praise for CM Punk’s promo ability.

“I’ve always been capable of hanging in there and cutting promos at whatever level that we have, and obviously Punk, in my opinion, is the greatest promo in the history of the game.

I don’t think anyone’s better than him. I think me having the lack of promo experience and doing it at the level that I’ve been doing it the past month or so to count on maybe doing them in the arena, in front of a live audience on the main roster, I can count on probably one hand.”

CM Punk is not in the Men’s Royal Rumble match because he’s the World Heavyweight Champion, but Breakker is one of the favorites to win.

The WWE Royal Rumble takes place this Saturday, January 31st, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Here’s the lineup.

  • Men’s Royal Rumble Match
  • Undisputed WWE Championship: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Sami Zayn
  • Women’s Royal Rumble Match
  • AJ Styles vs. Gunther – If Styles loses, then he must retire

The Royal Rumble streams live on Saturday, January 31, at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT, exclusively on ESPN in the United States and Netflix internationally.
