WWE Raw Star Indicates Big Character Change

WWE Raw Stage

Changes are coming thick and fast in WWE under Triple H’s management and now a current Raw star has indicated they may be about to undergo a big character shift.

Nikki Cross made her name in WWE on the NXT brand achieving most notoriety as part of the Eric Young-led Sanity group. However, the group split when Sanity was drafted to the main roster with Cross remaining on NXT.

The Scottish star joined Monday Night Raw in 2019 and championship success soon followed as she captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Alexa Bliss. In 2021, the biggest shift to Cross’ character happened in WWE when she adopted a superhero gimmick, now calling herself Nikki A.S.H (Almost A Superhero).

Success came again for Nikki A.S.H as she captured more tag team gold, this time with Rhea Ripley. But a few weeks after the pair lost their championship, Nikki turned on Ripley going from hero to villain.

In recent weeks Nikki A.S.H has formed another tag team with compatriot Doudrop. But it was a singles loss on Raw that could see another big change for the star.

On Raw in Edmonton, Alberta, Nikki A.S.H was as surprised as anyone to find out her opponent for the night was the returning Candice LeRae. LeRae defeated A.S.H and as she celebrated after the match, the former Nikki Cross sat forlornly in the ring before removing her superhero mask giving the clearest indication yet that she might be moving away from the character.
