12-Time WWE Champion To Miss RAW Due To Severe Illness

The March 9 episode of WWE Raw will take place in Seattle. Several big segments and matches have already been announced for the show.

Oba Femi and Rusev are set to collide in a singles match. The newly crowned WWE Intercontinental Champion, Penta, is also scheduled to appear following her win over Dominik Mysterio last week.

The 2026 WWE Elimination Chamber winner, Rhea Ripley, is expected to address her upcoming WrestleMania 42 match against Jade Cargill. Meanwhile, CM Punk and Roman Reigns are advertised to continue building toward their WrestleMania main event clash for the World Heavyweight Championship.

The show will also feature a Women’s Intercontinental Championship No. 1 contenders gauntlet match. The match will include Raquel Rodriguez, Bayley, Lyra Valkyria, Iyo Sky, Asuka, and Ivy Nile. The winner of the match will earn the opportunity to challenge AJ Lee for the title.

Becky Lynch Will Miss WWE Raw 03/09

12-Time WWE Champion Becky Lynch was also originally scheduled to appear on the show. However, Lynch recently revealed on Twitter that she has caught a severe stomach bug and will miss this week’s Raw.

Lynch stated that she normally has a strong immune system, but she blamed referee Jessica Carr and Adam Pearce for exposing her to the illness. She also added that she had planned to appear on Raw to stop what she called the “illegal” gauntlet match from happening.

Becky tweeted, “It is VERY well known that I have an AMAZING immune system. So I find it EXTREMELY SUSPICIOUS that after exposing CORRUPT CARR that she has been refereeing WITHOUT a referee’s license For SOME TIME NOW, I have become EXTREMELY SICK!!!

My personal doctor calling it the WORST stomach bug he has ever seen! ABSOLUTE JOKE and PETTY PEARCE clearly sent their GOON SQUAD to poison me somehow! UNBELIEVABLE!!! (Luckily I will pull through)
