WWE Legend Reveals Scrapped WrestleMania Return Plans
WWE legend Trish Stratus was a massive star of the promotion during her first run with the company, emerging as one of the best women’s wrestlers of the time.
She reached the top of the female division at a time when women’s wrestling wasn’t as evolved as it is now. She would eventually retire at the age of 30, at Unforgiven 2006.
Stratus recently appeared on Stephanie McMahon’s podcast, What’s Your Story? where she revealed scrapped plans for a WrestleMania return for the WWE legend.
Trish Status almost appeared at WWE WrestleMania in 2013
During her chat with Stephanie McMahon, Trish Status revealed the role that Steph has played in her life. She revealed that McMahon was there for her during her tough times, including her father’s death right before 2013’s WrestleMania.
When my dad passed, it was WrestleMania, and I did the same thing. I’m like, I was supposed to go to WrestleMania, but my dad was in the hospital. And I was like, what do I do? And you said, “Just be with your dad,” like, of course. And that was that,” Stratus said.
She would eventually make appearances at further WrestleManias and even had a full-time run with the promotion between 2022 and 2023, where she had a memorable feud with Becky Lynch.
