Seth Rollins caused a stir recently when he called CM Punk “a cancer” and warned him to stay away from WWE and now a Hall of Famer has given him his backing.
Seth Rollins did not hold back in a recent interview with Wrestling Inc.’s Nick Hausman when he was asked for his thoughts on controversial AEW star CM Punk and it seems that Rollins is not a fan of the former WWE Champion:
“Philly Phil, stay away. Stay away, you cancer, get away from me forever. I don’t like Phil. I don’t like Phil, he’s a jerk. Did we just figure that out? Everybody in the room is like, ‘did he say that?’ Yeah, he’s a jerk. Come on. We figured it out over there, we knew it over here. I don’t want him back. Go do something else. Bye bye. See you later.”
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T reflected on Seth Rollins’ comments about CM Punk and says he’s just glad that he didn’t have to be the one to say it:
“He was shooting 100%. I’m just glad I didn’t have to say it. I’m just glad people can’t look at me now and be like I’m a hater. I keep my mouth shut, my momma always told me if you don’t have something good to say about somebody, don’t say nothing at all. You hear other guys that have been around the business, that feel and speak the same way about Phil Brooks and it’s because of being around him.”
Booker T also warned people not to mistake his words as part of any kind of “work” involving Punk:
“People stop thinking everything is a work. If I say something negative to the point about somebody being ‘a cancer in the locker room,’ I’m not playing, okay? That’s not stuff you play around with, that’s not an angle, that’s just not. I know a lot of people out there that’s not in the business that wants to think that but sometimes it’s real, it’s real talk.”
Another WWE Hall of Famer has also recently discussed his thoughts on Seth Rollins, saying that The Visionary should be in the same position as Roman Reigns.
