Seth Rollins is used to having a WWE audience sing for him and at a recent live event, they did it for Bray Wyatt too.

The WWE Universe has been in mourning since last Thursday when we found out that former WWE & Universal Champion Bray Wyatt (Windham Rotunda) passed away due to a heart attack at the age of 36 years old.

This past Friday on Smackdown, WWE paid tribute to Wyatt and the late, great Terry Funk with a ten bell salute, a video package and more things to remind fans of the great Wyatt.

At the first WWE Live Event since Wyatt’s passing on Saturday in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins defeated Finn Balor in a Street Fight.

After the match, when Rollins was in the ring with a broken table, the fireflies were out in the arena as they lit it up with their cell phones like they did for Bray Wyatt for many years. They also sang “He’s got the whole world in his hands” as a tribute to Wyatt since that’s a song that Wyatt sang during his WWE career to show that his character had control of everything around him.

The video cuts out before the Seth Rollins speech, but clearly, it was an emotional moment for Rollins, who was close friends with Wyatt for many years.

Seth Rollins Had An Emotional Message After Bray Wyatt’s Death

On Friday, Seth Rollins posted a video on Twitter/X talking about Bray Wyatt’s death and he was obviously very emotional. Rollins recalled a conversation he had with Wyatt after their good friend Brodie Lee (Luke Harper) died in December 2020. Bray told Seth to hug on his daughter closely. Bray was a father of four and Seth has one daughter, so they bonded over being fathers.

Here is what Seth Rollins said along with the video.

“Truth is, I don’t really… I still don’t really know what to say. Windham was a… unique cat. He was a simple yet deeply complex individual, and I loved him. I loved him. I loved working with him, but mostly I just loved being around him.

“He was always joyful. Just, these eyes that drew you in and a smile and a laugh and a presence that just made you happy. And… we’re all gonna miss that. I’ve been thinking mostly about his family. His kids.”

“And I wanted to, I don’t know if wanted was the right word, I thought about going to SmackDown tonight, but that would entail leaving my family a day early, and I just keep going back to the conversation I had with Windham on the phone when Brodie (Lee) passed a few years ago.

“And I just had called him to check on him, see how he was doing, and he… we talked and he was okay and I was okay and neither of us were really okay, but I just remember, we ended the conversation with ‘I love yous’ and ‘goodbyes’, and he said, I remember this very specifically, he said, ‘You just go hug on that baby girl’, talking about my daughter. So I just feel like that’s what I should be doing.”

“So, Windham, I love you man. I will miss you, we will all miss you. And I’ll see you down the road hot boy.”

Seth “Freakin” Rollins will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Title against Shinsuke Nakamura this coming Saturday, September 2nd at Payback.
