Will Ospreay Returning To IMPACT Wrestling

Will Ospreay on AEW Dynamite

A big name is headed to IMPACT Wrestling as the company announced Will Ospreay will be at Bound for Glory in October.

Will Ospreay was in one of the biggest matches at the AEW All In London event as he faced the legendary Chris Jericho at Wembley Stadium in front of 81,000+ fans that were on his side since Ospreay is arguably the greatest wrestler from England in the business right now.

The Jericho-Ospreay match was highly anticipated due to it being one of the three singles matches on the show. Plus, Jericho was attacked by Ospreay from behind on the same night when Jericho told Don Callis he wanted to join his “family” in AEW.

Even though Will Ospreay was the heel going into the match with Jericho, the England crowd was strongly behind their countryman. Ospreay kicked out of everything Jericho hit him with and fought out of the Walls of Jericho submission move too. Ospreay ended up getting the win after hitting the Hidden Blade elbow strike along with the Storm Breaker slam not once, but twice to put Jericho away for good.

Will Ospreay beating Chris Jericho means that over the last two months, he can say he beat Kenny Omega at Forbidden Door in June, Kazuchika Okada and Chris Jericho. That’s an impressive feat for sure.

IMPACT Wrestling Announces Will Ospreay Appearing At Bound For Glory

Since Will Ospreay is under contract to New Japan Pro Wrestling as their IWGP UK Champion, he’s able to appear in multiple promotions that NJPW works with.

The AEW All In event wasn’t the only wrestling show on Sunday because IMPACT Wrestling held their Emergence pay-per-view event that evening as well. IMPACT announced Ospreay will be at Bound for Glory on October 21st in Chicago. It will be Ospreay’s first IMPACT appearance since 2016.

In the closing moments of Emergence, it was revealed that pro wrestling megastar Will Ospreay will make his long-awaited return to IMPACT Wrestling at the biggest event of the year, Bound For Glory. The can’t-miss pay-per-view extravaganza goes down LIVE Saturday, October 21st from Cicero Stadium in Chicago and will play host to Ospreay’s first IMPACT appearance since 2016. What does “The Aerial Assassin” have in store for IMPACT Wrestling? Only time will tell.

At this point, no opponent has been announced for Ospreay nor have they announced if he will be appearing on television before Bound For Glory.
