Will Ospreay is currently sidelined from action.

The Aerial Assassin is recovering from neck surgery to repair two herniated discs. He was officially written off AEW television during AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 following a lights-out steel cage match and a post-match assault by the Death Riders faction. He then underwent surgery in mid-September 2025.

Tony Khan Reportedly Planning Will Ospreay Vs Kenny Omega For All In 2026

According to Self Made Pro, during a Self Made session on March 9, 2026, there have been internal discussions in AEW about bringing back Will Ospreay at AEW All In 2026 at Wembley Stadium in London, his home country.

The report added that Tony Khan could potentially set him up against Kenny Omega for his return match. Self Made Pro highlighted that while this direction has not been finalized, the idea is currently being discussed behind the scenes.

“Chances Kenny Omega walks into All In to face Will Ospreay? I’ll tell you this—nonzero.”

“It’s not completely out of the question. In fact, I can tell you it’s something that’s been floated out.”

Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega have faced each other several times inside the ring. However, they have competed in one-on-one matches only three times in their wrestling careers.

Their first singles encounter took place in December 2015 at PWG All Star Weekend 11. The two then faced each other twice more in 2023. Their second singles match happened in January at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 in the Tokyo Dome. Their third singles match took place in June 2023 at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023.
