Big Update On Why Bray Wyatt Was Fired By WWE

The Fiend Bray Wyatt chokes Seth Rollins WWE

New information has come to light as to why Bray Wyatt was shockingly released by WWE back in the summer of 2021.

Bray Wyatt last wrestled back at WrestleMania 37 in 2021 when as The Fiend he lost a bout to his former rival Randy Orton thanks to a distraction from Alexa Bliss. The next night on Raw, Wyatt made an appearance that turned out to be the last of his WWE career as he was released from his contract on July 31st, 2021.

Now Bryan Alvarez speaking on Wrestling Observer Live has said that Wyatt seemingly had “an issue with being cleared” to compete and that was a reason why he was ultimately released. Alvarez added that he didn’t know if that problem had ever been resolved.

Rumours have been running rampant that Bray Wyatt could be set to make a huge return to WWE with the company running ‘White Rabbit’ teases in recent weeks that many have associated with the former WWE Champion.

An update from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select claimed that WWE is keeping this story a closely guarded secret although it is expected that it will lead to something with Bray Wyatt. There has also been contact made between WWE and Wyatt with numerous people in the company claiming that it’s only a “matter of time” until he returns.

There was some belief that it could be related to Karrion Kross because he used the song “White Rabbit” in the past in another promotion, but it likely does not involve him.

Lastly, the Fightful report said that a “top star said that paying off a tease like this is something ‘integral in setting the tone for shows moving forward.’”
