The February 16 edition of WWE Raw saw a large wooden crate being delivered backstage, with instructions reading: “Deliver to WWE, Do Not Open Until 2/28/2026”.

Since February 28 is the date of the Elimination Chamber premium live event, which will be held in Chicago this year, several fans have been speculating about what could be inside the box.

Many fans believe that the mystery box is intended to shake up WWE’s Road to WrestleMania and could feature the return of a major veteran or a massive surprise.

#1 Chris Jericho’s WWE Return

Since the beginning of this year, rumors of Jericho’s return to WWE have been floating around. The mystery box delivered on WWE Raw was large enough to house a person, and fans think that the crate could contain Chris Jericho, making his return at Elimination Chamber.

Jericho has a storied history of using mystery teases to reinvent his character or mark a return.

#2 Identity Of The Mystery Man

At Royal Rumble, the WWE Universe saw a mystery man dressed in a black hoodie and mask attack Bron Breakker during the men’s Rumble match. The mystery man launched another attack on The Vision last week by assaulting Austin Theory on WWE Raw.

This week on the red brand, the mystery man struck again and curb-stomped Logan Paul on the announcer’s desk. Some fans believe that the mystery box could reveal the identity of the masked man who has been plaguing The Vision on WWE Raw over the past few weeks.

#3 AJ Styles Return

AJ Styles retired from in-ring competition after losing his singles match to Gunther at the Royal Rumble. WWE is going to honor AJ Styles in Atlanta, Georgia, next week. There is a chance that the mystery box is related to AJ Styles’ return.

This does not necessarily mean that he will return to the ring, but he could appear as an on-screen authority figure. Styles has previously revealed that he would like to remain part of WWE even after his retirement.

The fans on Monday Night Raw saw Adam Pearce examine the crate, but after noticing that his name was not on it, he ordered it to be shipped to SmackDown so that the SmackDown General Manager, Nick Aldis, would have to “deal with it.”

It would be interesting to see how WWE will progress this mystery box storyline on SmackDown this week.
