Vince McMahon & Triple H Don’t See Sami Zayn As “Face Of The Company”

Vince McMahon Triple H

A new report has given an insight into how Triple H and Vince McMahon feel about Sami Zayn potentially leading WWE as its main star.

Sami Zayn has been on the run of his life as the Honorary Uce in Roman Reigns’ Bloodline. Surrounded by Reigns, The Usos, Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman, Sami Zayn has shone with his entertaining antics as he slowly but surely ingratiated himself into the group.

Some see Zayn’s rise as leading to his inevitable fall – at least with The Bloodline with many believing Zayn could be in line to be the one to dethrone Roman Reigns as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. But it seems WWE management might see things differently.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that while Sami Zayn could well become WWE or Universal Champion, management doesn’t see him as a long-term face of the company:

“Sami’s not gonna be that guy but yea Sami can win the championship. At this point, I would kind of go in that direction where he would win the championship. But as far as making him the face of the company, can they do that? They won’t.”

“I’ve been absolutely told [that] Vince McMahon and Paul Levesque do not see him as the face of the company. That doesn’t mean he’s not gonna win the Rumble. It doesn’t mean he’s gonna be in the Rumble. I don’t know what’s gonna happen tomorrow. He basically said the same thing, it’s not gonna happen.”

Meltzer’s comments are sure to draw interest given that he dropped Vince McMahon’s name despite McMahon still apparently not having anything to do with the creative direction of WWE despite his return at the start of 2023.

Sami Zayn recently gave his thoughts about potentially winning the WWE or Universal Championship in the future and thinks he could do just that.
