Trick Williams Can Lead WWE Into The Future Says Former Champion
Trick Williams made his move to the WWE main roster just over a month ago in January, and he is already making waves.
Shortly after being called up to the main roster, Williams qualified for the Men’s Elimination Chamber match, earning the opportunity to compete alongside established legends and veterans such as Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton.
Speaking on UnSportsmanLike ahead of Elimination Chamber, Rhodes, one of Williams’ opponents in the match, had high praise for the rising star.
When asked about facing relatively “green” talent, the former Undisputed WWE Champion noted that despite being new to the main roster, Trick Williams carries himself with the energy, confidence, and in-ring ability of a seasoned veteran.
Cody Rhodes Speaks Highly Of Trick Williams
Rhodes further praised Williams by stating that he isn’t someone who initially stands out through catchphrases or flashy moments alone. Instead, he emphasized that Williams possesses genuine potential and the overall skill set needed to eventually lead WWE in the future.
“Trick is ready. Trick is — I mean, not just from the perspective of ‘Oh cool, they say the phrase.’ Because I’ve had so many different wrestlers I’ve seen through the years where they say the phrase or they sing the song, and then nothing.
And you don’t want to be the Catchphrase Merchant. He’s got more than that going on for himself. He’s very, very ready, from the ability to market himself for WWE to lead WWE in the future.”
