Seth Rollins Extremely Proud Of WWE World Title’s Place On WrestleMania 42 Card
Seth Rollins returned to action from a shoulder injury at Elimination Chamber 2026, where he targeted Logan Paul. WWE has yet to find a spot for him on the upcoming WrestleMania 42 match card.
Whether Rollins will be a part of this year’s WrestleMania is yet to be confirmed, but The Visionary is very proud of the fact that the World Heavyweight Championship is placed on the main event of WrestleMania 42 card.
CM Punk will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42. The match will very likely headline Night 2 of WrestleMania this year.
Seth Rollins Reacts to CM Punk Vs Roman Reigns’ World Heavyweight Championship Match Headlining WrestleMania 42
Speaking with the Boston Herald, Seth Rollins commented on the matchup and said that he is proud that the World Heavyweight Championship is going to be featured as the main event of Night 2 of WrestleMania.
“I’m extremely proud that in all likelihood the world heavyweight championship is going to be featured as the main event Night Two of WrestleMania, which in my opinion is the true main event of WrestleMania.
Roman talked down about it as if it were a second-tier title when it was introduced, and so did a lot of other people. I felt it was extremely important that our world championship wasn’t monopolized by a guy who wasn’t going to be there enough to help elevate the talent with that title – and that’s Roman.
He took the part-time schedule and he’s earned that right. On the other hand, we needed a world championship that was going to be represented every week on the Raw brand, one that would allow new stars to be created. So I’m very proud that that belt will be in the main event of WrestleMania.”
Seth Rollins is the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion. He won the title in May 2023 at Night of Champions by defeating AJ Styles in the tournament final.
He was also the World Heavyweight Champion last year after cashing in his Money in the Bank contract at SummerSlam. However, he had to relinquish the title after sustaining an injury during a match against Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel.
