Saraya Pitches Major Title vs. Title Match

Saraya

Saraya would love to take on the champion in another major promotion in a blockbuster title vs. title match.

At AEW All In, Saraya got her first taste of championship gold since becoming All Elite. In front of a record-setting crowd in her home country of England, the star defeated fellow Outcast Toni Storm as well as Hikaru Shida and Britt Baker to become the AEW Women’s World Champion.

Speaking in a new interview with Women’s Wrestling Talk, the champion was asked if she’d like to return to her independent wrestling roots and work for any independent promotions in the future. After naming her family’s WAW company, Saraya admitted that while she doesn’t have her sights set on too many independent shows, she does want to collect title belts in multiple companies. Specifically, she wants to face IMPACT Knockouts Champion Trinity Fatu.

“WAW [World Association of Wrestling], of course. I don’t know about Indie promotions, but I would love to go against Trin [Trinity]. Maybe I carry the AEW (women’s title) and then take the IMPACT championship off her and hell, I’ll go to New Japan and take that championship too and carry them around.

The star joked that she wants to be like Marvel villain Thanos and collect every championship possible, even those in the men’s division.

“I’m like Thanos with championship belts. I want to take them all. I’ll take Statlander’s belt [AEW TBS Champion]. I’ll go on and get the trios championship. I’ll take them all. I’ll get MJF’s championship [AEW World Championship]. I’m taking them all, Tony [Tony Khan]. I’m coming to work and stealing the belts. Do I have a match? No, I’m just going to steal them. I’ll stick to outright stealing them.”

Saraya Wants More Women’s Titles In AEW

Continuing, Saraya proposed the idea of adding either a trios or tag team championship in AEW’s women’s division, saying the women in AEW need more of a chance to shine.

“I would love for there to be a female trios championship or a regular tag team championship for women because we do have two (women’s titles), and that’s awesome, but there are so many women on our roster, and so many women that are in tag teams. Why don’t we make a tag team championship? Who knows. Tony always has great ideas up his sleeve.”
