Sami Zayn Speaks On Michael Cole’s Reaction To Johnny Knoxville Match

Johnny Knoxville hits Sami Zayn with stop sign

Sami Zayn has commented on the hilarious viral video of Michael Cole calling his WrestleMania match against Johnny Knoxville.

At WrestleMania 38, Sami Zayn faced off with Johnny Knoxville in one of the most bizarre matches to ever take place on ‘The Grandest Stage of them All’.

While things started off with Knoxville clashing with Zayn on his own, the rest of the Jackass crew soon got involved, followed by a multitude of weapons, tables and, finally, a giant mousetrap. During the match, Jackass star Wee Man attacked Zayn and managed to hit him with a body slam.

On commentary, Pat McAfee was even more animated than normal, but in a surprising turn of events, his reaction was matched by the normally reserved Michael Cole.

On the Pat McAfee Show, Evan Fox shared a picture-in-picture clip of the moment, showing Cole and McAfee reacting to the action. The video has since gone viral on social media.

Sami Zayn was one of those who shared the clip and revealed that Michael Cole had told him it was the most fun he’d had calling a match in his 25-year career.

“I love this video. One of the biggest compliments I got about the Wrestlemania match with Johnny Knoxville was Michael Cole, who’s seen & called it all for 25 years, saying it was the most fun he’s had calling a match. He & Pat added so much. What a party.”

Since being defeated by Knoxville, Sami Zayn has been embroiled in a feud with Drew McIntyre. McIntyre has been trying to get his hands on the former Intercontinental Champion who is doing everything he can to escape. Most recently, the pair met in a Lumberjack Match but the lumberjacks began brawling, giving Zayn a chance to escape once more.

It has been announced that the two will now meet in a Cage Match on the April 29th episode of SmackDown.
