Ronda Rousey is currently “suspended” by WWE, but the former Women’s Champion made her presence felt on Smackdown and had an interesting comment for the company on social media.

Rousey was storyline suspended by WWE after what happened at SummerSlam on July 30. Rousey was challenging Liv Morgan for the Smackdown Women’s Title on that night. Rousey controlled most of the match and had Morgan trapped in an armbar, but Rousey’s own shoulders were pinned to the mat while she applied the move. The referee counted Rousey down for a three count even though Morgan taped out before the ref’s three count. Since the referee didn’t see Morgan tap, Morgan won the match by pinfall.

After the match, Rousey attacked Morgan with another armbar. Rouse also attacked referee Dan Engler. Due to her actions, WWE announced that Rousey was “fined an undisclosed amount” and suspended indefinitely.

During the August 12 edition of WWE’s Friday Night Smackdown, Rousey was shown walking in the crowd and went into the ring prior to a Liv Morgan-Shayna Baszler contract signing for a Smackdown Women’s Title match. Rousey said that she wasn’t supposed to be there because she was suspended and fined a lot of money. Rousey had a gym bag with her and dumped a pile of money on the table. She noted that she’ll probably get fined again, so she decided to double the amount. At the end of her promo Rousey said: “Being the baddest gets expensive, but I can afford it.”

Liv Morgan and Shayna Baszler would go on to sign the contract for their Smackdown Women’s Title match at Clash at the Castle on September 3, but not before Rousey had words for her friend Baszler, who tried to tell Rousey that can’t do what she did. As Rousey walked to the back, she told Baszler that she “used to be a killer.”

Rousey had an interesting message for WWE in an Instagram post on Sunday. She wanted to WWE use to her fine money wisely, but also bring back some more women for her to beat.

“Use that cash wisely @wwe – Maybe it can help with those “budget cuts”. Bring back some asses for me to kick.”

The fine and suspension of Rousey is all a storyline, but it was interesting to see Rousey comment on it the way she did.
