Road Warrior Animal’s Wife Blasts A&E’s WWE Biography Of Legion Of Doom: “I Have Never Been So Mad”
The wife of the late, great Road Warrior Animal was furious with the WWE/A&E Biography of the Legion of Doom.
When wrestling fans talk about the greatest tag teams in the history of the business, the team of Hawk and Animal will usually be mentioned.
Whether they were known as the Road Warriors or as the Legion of Doom in WWE, Hawk & Animal had a cool factor to them; they looked like stars, and the fans loved them most of the time.
The Road Warriors weren’t necessarily known for having the best matches, but they looked the part of pro wrestlers who brought intimidation with them and could cut some great promos, too.
Sadly, Hawk died far too young in 2003 at the age of 46, and Animal died in 2020 at the age of 60. When they were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011, Animal was there with manager Paul Ellering, and they were emotional as they talked about Hawk.
On A&E, they have been producing and airing WWE Biography shows about many of the biggest names in the business’s history. On Sunday, May 17th, a Legion of Doom documentary aired.
Kim Turman-Laurinaitis, the wife of the late, great Animal (real name Joe Laurinaitis), took to Facebook to complain about the LOD documentary.
“For all of you reaching out to me right now asking if I’m part of the A&E Biography… NO. His actual wife — the one who was with him the night he died and for years before — was not contacted to film, believe it or not. The one who pays for the trademarks and works to continue his wishes and legacy with the LOD Experience and many other things.
But this is supposed to be about respect for Joe and the LOD/Road Warrior, right??? Yeah, okay. Believe what you want…
I can guarantee you my husband is NOT happy in heaven. But his story — the REAL story, the TRUTH, all of it — will come out. This is disgusting, literally disgusting, at his expense, and I will not be quiet anymore. Shame on all involved. The TRUTH will always come out!!!
They only did it this way because he was not here, but I still am, and we will fight for HIS wishes.
Do they give out Oscars for acting performances in this?? WOW.”

It turns out that Kim Laurinaitis did watch the A&E Biography of WWE’s Legion of Doom after all and went on a rant on Facebook all about it.
“WHAT IN THE FCK AM I WATCHING?!!! ???????????? OMG, I am SO DONE. This is NOT how my husband died. And FYI, he died on 9/22 at our hotel — NOT a hospital. They never took him to a fcking hospital. They tried to save him in our hotel room! I was the ONLY one there with the paramedics… are you serious right now?!
I held him for over an hour, trying to wait for Jessica and Lindsey — both daughters — to get there before they transported him to a funeral home!!! WHAT THE F*CK IS HAPPENING?!?!
I am about to lose my GD mind right now. I have never been so mad. Can anyone tell the truth anymore??? What fake-ass, phony people… people pretending to be friends, people pretending to tell the truth at my husband’s expense. God Almighty help all of you who have used him for the last freaking time!!!!!
