Randy Orton Pushing For WrestleMania Return

Randy Orton

Randy Orton has been a huge part of the WWE roster over the last two decades but after ten months out with an injury, the star is said to be pushing to return on the biggest stage possible.

Randy Orton was last seen on the 20th of May 2022 edition of SmackDown when he and his RK-Bro partner Matt Riddle lost the Raw Tag Team Championship to The Usos. The Bloodline attacked Orton and Riddle after the match, writing the former WWE Champion off television.

Orton is believed to have been dealing with a back injury that had grown progressively worse which resulted in the star undergoing surgery in November 2022.

A recent report suggested Randy Orton will be in LA over WrestleMania weekend and now a report from WrestleVotes has indicated that The Viper is keen to appear on the show:

“Randy’s name I’ve started to hear a little bit over the last couple of weeks. He’s getting close. He’d like to show up at WrestleMania. Missing WrestleMania 32 in Dallas through injury killed him. So I think if he’s going to return, let’s say the night after, he’d rather just show up in some form at the stadium.”

WrestleMania in 2016 was the first ‘Mania Orton missed in his WWE career since he first appeared at the event in 2004 at WrestleMania 20 where he teamed with Evolution stablemates Ric Flair and Batista to defeat Mick Foley and The Rock.
