Two NXT Stars Will Wrestle At Upcoming Indy Show
There are two NXT wrestlers who will have a match at an independent wrestling show that has ties to somebody who works for WWE.
It is rare for WWE superstars to wrestle at an independent wrestling show, but it’s going to happen later this month.
Booker T has been a WWE NXT announcer for nearly one year now. Booker has been calling the shows with Vic Joseph while spouting off his catchphrases. They have also mentioned many times that Booker T has a wrestling school where he has trained wrestlers like the former NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez.
The Reality of Wrestling Twitter/X account announced on Thursday that NXT’s Axiom will face Charlie Dempsey in a singles match on their September 23rd event.

Axiom & Charlie Dempsey Are Featured Prominently On NXT TV
Axiom is a 26-year-old high flier that has some of the most exciting moves in all of NXT. Axiom has been in the hunt for numerous championships on the brand, but hasn’t been able to win one yet. Axiom is a masked wrestler who used to be known as A-Kid on the NXT UK brand. Axiom wrestled Butch to draw in the NXT Global Heritage Invitational this past Tuesday.
Charlie Dempsey is the son of wrestling legend William Regal, who works behind-the-scenes in WWE these days. Dempsey is also in the NXT Global Heritage Invitational tournament. Dempsey is also part of a group with Drew Gulak & Damon Kemp that is being used to toughen up wrestlers on the NXT roster.
Obviously, WWE is comfortable sending their wrestler to Booker T’s ROW promotion due to his legacy as a two-time WWE Hall of Famer that also works for the NXT brand as an announcer. It’s a good experience for Axiom and Dempsey to wrestle outside of the NXT brand as well.
