Missing AEW Star Comments After Return Announced

A huge AEW name is set to return to the ring after a nine month absence.

Red Velvet last competed in AEW on the February 1st edition of Dynamite, coming up short in a challenge for the TBS Championship that was then held by Jade Cargill, who has since departed the company to join WWE.

AEW President Tony Khan announced the return, set for the 8th November edition of Dynamite, as well as revealing that Red Velvet’s opponent for the bout would be another returning star.

Julia Hart has been out of action since AEW WrestleDream on October 1st. Hart was defeated by defending TBS Champion Kris Statlander in a 9 minute clash at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington.

Hart’s absence, however, has not been injury related. She has been on honeymoon after recently marrying fellow AEW star Lee Johnson.

Red Velvet took to social media platform ‘X’ to declare her excitement ahead of the big return:

“YALL have been asking. It’s time to COOK 🥣”

AEW Star Marc Briscoe Returns

Velvet and Hart are not the first stars to return to AEW screens as of late, with Marc Briscoe making his return on the 27th October edition of Rampage.

Briscoe had been out of action since picking up a knee injury in early July and will look to build upon momentum gained before the injury. Briscoe had been set to challenge Claudio Castagnoli for the ROH World Championship at July’s ROH Death Before Dishonor show but he had to give up that opportunity and was replaced by PAC who was unsuccessful in his attempt to unseat Castagnoli as champion.

It has been a tough 2023 for Marc Briscoe, who tragically lost brother Jay Briscoe in a car accident on January 17th.
