One top WWE star has seemingly suffered a serious injury after a very dangerous match.

Damian Priest and Aleister Black were embroiled in an increasingly personal feud during the last few months of 2025. It was during this rivalry that Black was united on-screen with his wife, Zelina Vega, for the first time in their WWE careers.

That gave Black the edge as Vega caused havoc at ringside for his matches until Priest called on his old friend, Rhea Ripley, to help even the odds.

Vega and Ripley had their part to play when Damian Priest and Aleister Black clashed in a brutal ambulance match on the first SmackDown of 2026. Black opened the ambulance to dump his opponent inside, but Ripley was lying in wait to pounce and help Priest earn an impressive victory.

However, it seems not everyone escaped that match unscathed.

Aleister Black Struggling With Injury After WWE Match

Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer’s Daily Update that Aleister Black suffered a broken tailbone in the ambulance match. The injury, although painful, is said to be minor, and the plan was for Black to take time off after that match regardless.

It remains to be seen when Black will be back in the ring, but many will be expecting him to be a part of the Royal Rumble at the end of January.
