Kurt Angle Reveals Team He’d Like To Manage In WWE

Kurt Angle on the mic

Olympic gold medallist Kurt Angle has pieced together a team he would like to manage if there were a new Team Angle.

It was early 2003 when Paul Heyman gave a gift to his charge at the time Kurt Angle, in the form of Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas who together all formed Team Angle, helping to protect the gold for the WWE Champion.

Whilst Benjamin and Haas went on to pick up the WWE Tag Team Championships in February of that year, Angle would go on to lose his title belt to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 19.

Now speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, the Olympic gold medal winner has looked at the current crop of talent, and worked out who he would form his modern day team.

You know what I’d like to do? I’d like to manage the Olympians…When Gable Steveson starts his career, he and Chad Gable, that would be the new Team Angle. I would love to do that. That’s what they would be called, The Gables. You got to have Otis in there.

The idea of The Gables would see Chad Gable work with Olympic gold medal in heavyweight freestyle wrestling at the delayed Tokyo Games in 2021, Gable Steveson. Despite only being with the company a short amount of time, Steveson has already been drafted to Monday Night Raw, and also appeared and took out Chad Gable in the ring after the latter’s match alongside Otis against RK-Bro and The Street Profits at WrestleMania 38.
