John Cena Signs Up For Tag Team Match At WWE Fastlane

John Cena

John Cena will be in tag team action but may not have a partner at Fastlane.

It didn’t take long for John Cena returning to WWE for him to get mixed up in Bloodline business. Cena was taken out by Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso on the September 15th edition of SmackDown only to be saved by the man who used to take great pride in beating him up – AJ Styles.

On SmackDown in Glendale, Arizona John Cena came to town looking for a fight and introduced Styles as the man that was going to help him take out The Bloodline. The stars challenged Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa to a tag team match before Sikoa and Uso made their way to the ring only to leave again.

Adam Pearce was in for a busy night as he went back and forth trying to get a match made and The Bloodline contingent – including Paul Heyman – made clear the match wasn’t going to happen on the show. Instead, a match was mooted for Fastlane but Sikoa warned that The Bloodline would have no one left to face at that event.

Did John Cena sign up for Fastlane match?

A contract signing was set up later in the night and John Cena ran to the ring and immediately signed on the dotted line. However, video was shown backstage of Uso and Sikoa taking out AJ Styles which led to him leaving in an ambulance.

The Bloodline then came to the ring to gloat over their attack but that brought out John Cena who tried to take out Uso and Sikoa. The numbers advantage proved too much, however, and The Bloodline stood tall to end the show.

However, that was a change of the original plan as LA Knight was meant to assist Cena but was pulled from the show at the eleventh hour due to a medical issue. However, if he is able to return in time, it looks like Knight could be Cena’s partner at Fastlane.
