[Watch] Jey Uso Attacks Rapper During Pre-WWE WrestleMania Interview
Of late, Jey Uso has appeared as standoffish in WWE.
As WrestleMania 42 approaches fast, the one-half of The Usos has been busy with media appearances to promote the Las Vegas wrestling event.
2025 was a breakout year for Jey, as he won the men’s Royal Rumble to cement his place on the WrestleMania 41 card and chose Gunther as his preferred champion to challenge for The Show of Shows.
While the Royal Rumble winner usually occupies the main event spot at ‘Mania, it wasn’t the case for Jey, who instead kicked off the proceedings on Night 1.
Despite not being featured in the main event, Uso defeated Gunther to become the World Heavyweight Champion for the first time. His reign, however, lasted only for 51 days, with Gunther reclaiming it on the June 9 episode of Raw.
Jey Uso continued competing as a singles star; while he achieved success, he lost matches that would have brought him back into contention to challenge for the world title.
In December, he officially re-entered the tag team division with his brother, Jimmy Uso, winning the tag titles on the final Raw episode of the year.
Jimmy & Jey Uso lost their titles on March 30 to The Vision’s Logan Paul and Austin Theory.
Jey Uso Assaults Podcaster & Rapper Cam’ron Ahead Of WrestleMania 42
Since late last year, WWE fans have been teased about a heel turn for Jey Uso, but the transition has not happened on screen yet.
On occasion, he comes out looking like a loose cannon with a crazed look and actions that showcase his state of mind.
A week before The Usos’ title match against The Vision, Jey Uso knocked out Logan Paul and Austin Theory while wearing brass knuckles, causing a disqualification for his team.
They will be seen teaming up with LA Knight to face The Vision and YouTuber, IShowSpeed, in a six-man tag team match on Night 1 of WrestleMania 42 on April 18.
Meanwhile, the 40 -year-old recently appeared on the It Is What It Is podcast hosted by Ma$e & Cam’ron.
During the discussion, Uso and Cam’ron, who is also a rapper, appeared to verbally clash with each other by taking shots at each other’s respective careers.
Earlier in their session, Jey was asked if he ranked himself higher than The Rock when it came to Samoan wrestlers.
In response, Uso claimed that he did not think that, placing The Rock and Roman Reigns above him, while admitting that he had to grow a lot more to achieve their levels.
Cam’ron seemed unimpressed by his answer and asked Jey if he had “tried” anyone in public, to which the wrestler chose not to respond.
With further exchanges between the two, the tension became palpable in the studio, as some of the other hosts tried to either deflect certain subjects or interrupt, sensing a potential kerfuffle.
Jey eventually got fed up with Cam’ron’s comments, as they started throwing hands at each other, forcing others to break them apart.
WWE has not officially commented on the brawl, nor have any reports surfaced claiming that Jey was reprimanded by his employer.
