Jeff Jarrett had some positive things to say about The Elite ahead of a big match on AEW Dynamite.

Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite in Tampa will feature some big matches including a tag team match that will see Jeff Jarrett team up with Jay Lethal & Satnam Singh against The Elite trio of Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson).

It was announced earlier today that The Elite (Omega, Young Bucks and Adam Page) have re-signed with AEW. It’s not a surprise that AEW would announce this on the same day they are celebrating 200 episodes of Dynamite.

The trio of Omega and The Young Bucks have been Executive Vice Presidents in AEW meaning they have had major input in how the company is run. It’s a role that Jeff Jarrett knows well since he started and owned TNA Wrestling in 2002 and many years after when the Carter Family purchased TNA.

Jeff Jarrett has worked for AEW since November 2022 in different roles behind the scenes as well as an active wrestler. At 56 years old, Jeff can share his knowledge with the younger talent and have some fun using his guitar as a weapon along the way.

What Does Jeff Jarrett Think About Facing The Elite?

While speaking to DAZN, Jeff Jarrett claimed that while he can’t match up with The Elite physically, his mental IQ could lead to yet another victory.

“I woke up to numerous texts because it was announced overnight. But quite the buzz already, about the match. I responded to Kenny Omega’s tweet, and I was very honest and candid about it. I’ll never match him or Nick or Matt, move for move. But I always somehow, someway end up victorious. I think that’s all, I call it the wrestling IQ. So that’s my prediction for Wednesday.”

“It’s a milestone, this 200th episode of Dynamite. The Elite and Kenny, they are the founders. They’re right in there, the originals, and so it’s pretty special to be facing those guys. In a lot of ways, it’s an honor. I’ve got a lot of respect for what they’ve done. But me, Jay, and Satnam are not anywhere close to being your ordinary, average trios opponents. So I think those guys are in for quite a treat.”

During his AEW run, the WWE & TNA Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett has challenged for multiple titles, including Tag Team Titles with Lethal, but he’s yet to win one.
