WWE Legend Hits Back At Claims They’re Being Paid By The Company
A WWE legend has denied they’re being paid by the company.
Since launching his podcast, Kevin Nash has never been shy about giving an opinion, and that’s often seen him land on the wrong side of AEW fans after criticising the company and some of its wrestlers.
This criticism recently moved Tony Khan to respond, who said he doesn’t agree with Nash’s opinions.
During a recent episode of Kliq This, a fan suggested the veteran acts as “state media” for WWE as he’s on the payroll. Nash was quick to respond, forcefully hitting back at claims the company pays him outside of receiving royalties.
“I’m not on the payroll,” Nash said. “I don’t get a paycheck from the WWE. I get royalties. I sell merchandise. I have a percentage of that. That pays me. I am no way am on their payroll so you don’t know what the f*ck you’re talking about…”
The WWE Hall of Famer said he always expects more of the sports entertainment giant.
“I’m not so sure I’m biased. I expect more out of the WWE.
What did we say last week? That we weren’t going to pile on anymore on AEW because it was just too easy. Criticizing AEW is too easy so we’re just not doing it.”
Kevin Nash Impressed By WWE Backlash
Meanwhile, Kevin Nash said the Backlash was so loud he joked with Triple H during the show about taking a bump.
Nash said The Game told him officials couldn’t hear each other when trying to organise the show in Gorilla.
At the event, Cody Rhodes retained the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event with a win over AJ Styles. While Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair saw off Asuka and Kairi Sane to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles.
