Kenny Omega Names His Most Underrated AEW Matches
The great Kenny Omega is known for being the “Best Bout Machine” and he recently named some AEW matches that he considers to be underrated.
Over the last decade, Kenny Omega has established himself as one of the best pro wrestlers alive in terms of in-ring performance. The matches he had in Japan for NJPW are legendary while he continued that legacy with AEW over the last five years as well.
While the classics that Omega has had with the likes of Kazuchika Okada, Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, Bryan Danielson, Will Ospreay and others might be regarded as some of the best ever, there are also plenty of underrated matches too.
Kenny Omega commented on a recent Twitch stream that two AEW matches come to mind as underrated matches.
“There’s two that come to mind right away, it’s my first match against Christian [Cage], and the Iron Man match against PAC.”
The match with Chrisitan Cage took place on the first episode of AEW Rampage when Omega lost the Impact (TNA) World Title. As for the match with Pac, that took place on the Dynamite before the Revolution 2020 PPV.
Omega also had some sarcastic comments when talking about his matches.
“People just forget this s**t, and if you even try to compare that to what a lot of stuff that’s like now, just f**king … just give it a shot. And if you try to tell me, you f**king try to tell me that other stuff is better or like, ‘Oh, that was way back when, that’s old and not as good,’ shut the f**k up, get out of here, get out of town.”
Kenny Omega Remains Out Of Action
Unfortunately for fans of the former AEW World Champion, Tag Team Champion & Trios Tag Team Champion Kenny Omega, he remains out of action indefinitely due to the diverticulitis health issue he has been dealing with since last December. Omega is hoping to have surgery and that it will allow him to return to the ring some day.
