Huge Double Title Match Made For WWE NXT

There could be trouble ahead for two top champions as a major double title match has been made for WWE NXT.

Trick Williams captured the TNA World Championship from Joe Hendry at Battleground back in May. Since then, Williams has survived the best that TNA has to throw at him, all the while appearing every week on NXT TV with the promotion’s top title.

But that isn’t enough for Williams.

WWE & TNA Set To Explode

NXT Champion Oba Femi is scheduled to defend his title against Ricky Saints at No Mercy on September 27th, but now he’s got an even bigger challenge waiting for him to even get to that match.

At NXT Homecoming, The Grayson Waller Effect welcomed Saints and Femi before their title match, but they were soon interrupted by Trick Williams. Williams noted that he wanted the NXT Title as well, with Waller then announcing that on the September 23rd edition of NXT, Williams and Femi will clash with both the NXT and TNA Championships on the line.

During the show, several TNA stars took to social media to express their unhappiness with the current partnership with WWE. With thinly veiled threats issued, it’s no wonder that William Regal told current NXT General Manager Ava that it looked like she had trouble on her hands on next week’s show.

A previously released ex-WWE star also made their shock return to TV at Homecoming as they sent a message to a popular NXT partnership.
