Ex-IMPACT World Champion Returning To Company

A former World Champion is set to return to IMPACT Wrestling at this weekend’s Slammiversary event.

With Honor No More looking to tear down more of the foundations of the company, a five-on-five tag team match has been set for IMPACT’s showpiece event pitting company originals against the invading stable.

With The Motor City Machine Guns already being confirmed to team alongside Frankie Kazarian on the IMPACT team, a fourth member has now been confirmed to join the contest, who is both a former World Champion within the company and elsewhere.

Originally known as Magnus in his initial IMPACT Wrestling run, Nick Aldis will be joining the team to take on the combination of Eddie Edwards, Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, PCO and Vincent.

During his previous time with the organisation, Nick Aldis held the World Championship, as well as being a two-time Tag Team Champion – once as part of The British Invasion alongside Doug Williams, and on the other occasion alongside Samoa Joe.

Since his departure from the company, Aldis has gone on to be a two-time NWA World Champion, feuding with Cody Rhodes before eventually dropping the belt on the second occasion to Trevor Murdoch. Aldis has already made one appearance in IMPACT Wrestling this year, returning for Multiverse Of Matches where he teamed with his wife Mickie James to take on Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green.

IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary is set to take place this Sunday, 19th June and is available to view on FITE TV.
