During that time, he built a strong reputation as a tough, reliable performer, appearing for numerous independent promotions and capturing multiple championships across different brands.
WWE Star Alex Shelley Sends Special Message To Kevin Blackwood Ahead Of His Retirement Match
Ahead of what was billed as Blackwood’s final match during Prestige Wrestling’s Portland shows, WWE star Alex Shelley (former Prestige World Champion) shared a heartfelt video message.
In the tribute, the WWE star expressed his love and respect for Blackwood and congratulated him on an impressive nine-year career inside the ring. Prestige Wrestling shared the message as part of their final series of shows in Portland.
Blackwood replied, “I first wrestled Shelley at West Coast in ‘21. I was so scared, this was Alex fucking Shelley. He was so nice, taught me a lot, we talked music, and after the match he said “Kevin that was one of my favorite matches in a long time.” Now I consider him a good friend. Thank you”
