The future of FTR has been decided, with Dax Harwood sharing the tag team’s breaking news on social media.

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler have been in discussions over what will be next for FTR, and for their individual careers.

After a shock return to AEW at Revolution, fans have been waiting to find out if this meant FTR would be staying in the company long-term.

FTR had recently shared insight on the thought process they would be taking, one that ensured it worked for both partners and opened up the opportunity to achieve even more success.

Harwood took to Twitter to let the wrestling world know that a decision has been made, but teased that for the time being, they could not go into further detail.

“Just got off the phone with Cash. We’ve decided what we’re going to do come April. NOTHING is official yet, so legally, can’t speak on it, but in the next couple of weeks, we’ll let all of our fans know. We owe it to y’all for the opportunities we have in front of us. Love y’all.”

With their AEW contracts due to expire in April, the responses to Dax Harwood’s tweet have seen many comments on a return to WWE, who are now under the creative control of Triple H. The Game was in charge during FTR’s success in NXT when competing as The Revival.

Harwood has been building on FTR’s in-ring success by growing a successful podcast, FTR with Dax Harwood, and has discussed the possibility of a singles career.

Wheeler and Harwood left WWE in April 2020 and changed their name to FTR. The pair have since lifted Tag Team Championships in AEW, New Japan, AAA and Ring of Honor.

AEW have been discussing possible surprise future of their tag team division, whilst the soon-out-of-contract FTR are looking to challenge current AEW Tag Team Champs, The Gunns.

Whilst under The Revival name, the team became the first-ever WWE Tag Team Triple Crown Champions, holding the NXT, Raw and Smackdown Tag Team Titles.
