WWE CCO Triple H is getting a lot of heat.

Triple H’s booking decisions and creative direction have come under fire over the past months, with the majority of fans, analysts, and former wrestlers calling him out on a lack of storylines, good feuds, intrigue, and continuity in the current product.

Fan frustrations reached a boiling point when John Cena’s retirement tour ended with him tapping out to Gunther’s sleeper hold, effectively dissolving his “Never Give Up” mantra that helped him achieve major stardom in the company.

The build to WrestleMania 42 has been similarly criticised, with The Game being accused of repetitive feuds, storylines that end abruptly, or suddenly pivot to other directions, surprises that don’t land, and segments that don’t make logical sense (like the recent reveal of Pat McAfee as Randy Orton’s mystery caller).

Former WWE creative team member and co-head writer of SmackDown, “Road Dogg” Brian James, suddenly quit the company a couple of months ago after he was seen arguing with Triple H over creative decisions in the Netflix docuseries WWE: Unreal’s second season.

Although Road Dogg has stated recently that he quit the company to focus on his grandchildren, many fans and analysts believe that his departure was because of cretive differences with Triple H and the rest of the team.

All of this has led to The Game calling to be replaced in creative and rumours of his firing after WrestleMania 42 have begun circulating, especially after the event has undersold tickets.

Road Dogg has recently cleared up this rumour.

Road Dogg Doesn’t Think Triple H Will BE Fired By WWE

In a recent virtual signing, Road Dogg was seated alongside his former tag team partner, Billy Gunn.

At one point during the signing, Gunn says that he heard a rumour that Triple H would be fired from the creative team after WrestleMania 42.

Road Dogg immediately denies this, saying it’s not true.

Billy Gunn: I heard they’re firing him (Hunter) after ‘Mania.

Road Dogg: No, there’s not that. It’s not. I don’t think it’s true, anyway.

Some fans, such as the one who has posted the clip above, are also befuddled by the difference in quality of the product, as they feel Triple H did a great job with it when he joined as the Head of WWE Creative in July 2022 and took the product to new heights with WrestleMania 40.
