Despite speculations of an appearance, Brock Lesnar was a no-show at Night of Champions.

The Riyadh PLE featured the final of the King of the Ring tournament, where Oba Femi faced Jey Uso, with the winner heading to SummerSlam for a world championship match.

Lesnar had been involved in a feud with Femi for a few weeks prior to WrestleMania 42, setting up a bout between them at the Show of Shows.

To everyone’s surprise, The Ruler steamrolled through The Beast Incarnate, securing a squash win in under 5 minutes. Lesnar subsequently ‘fake’ retired from the sport because he showed up on Raw a few weeks later and attacked Femi during one of his open challenges.

This attack led to a match at Clash in Italy, where Lesnar defeated Femi, hitting 7 F5s in the process.

Since then, both wrestlers have hinted at a rivalry concluding match, which many hoped to see at SummerSlam in Minnesota, from where Brock Lesnar is billed.

Viewers expected Lesnar to show up at Night of Champions to cause Femi to lose the KOTR final. However, he was nowhere to be seen, leading to Femi being crowned the 2026 King of the Ring and earning a world title match at the biggest party of the summer.

Brock Lesnar Advertised For WWE SummerSlam

During Night of Champions, the commentators regularly promoted SummerSlam, which is scheduled to take place on August 1 & 2.

WWE even ran a teaser for the said premium live event, which shows Brock Lesnar in action along with other superstars.

With Oba Femi now confirmed to face either the World Heavyweight Champion or the Undisputed WWE Champion at SummerSlam, it remains to be seen in what capacity Lesnar is presented.

One of the things he could do is dethrone one of the champions and set up a third match with Oba Femi. Alternatively, he could compete on both nights of SummerSlam, with Brock Lesnar as his opponent on Night 1.

Meanwhile, Femi is expected to reveal his choice of champion on the upcoming edition of Raw, which will have a special time (6 PM ET / 3 PM PT).
