The future of Brian Pillman Jr. has been the subject of much speculation since he left AEW but now it looks like the second-generation star is set to follow in his father’s footsteps and head to WWE.

Brian Pillman Jr.’s time in AEW recently came to an end but the young star looks set to embark on a big next step in his career as he has already been seen working out at WWE’s Performance Center with many believing the sports entertainment giant is his next destination.

Speaking during a Captain’s Corner Virtual Signing, Brian Pillman Jr. indicated that he had a big opportunity coming up in his career but stopped short of revealing he was WWE-bound:

“It’s a tough business and it’s a long road to the top if you want to rock n roll. Being here today and getting to reminisce about some of the past moments of my career has really cheered me up and put me in a position to where I’m excited for the future.

“There is a lot to come, I can’t speak on it right now, it’s kind of in the works. I have a huge moment, a huge opportunity coming up in my career to continue making memories, to continue coming up with new gear ideas and sharing my version of pro wrestling with you all. Thank you for supporting me.”

Cassidy Haynes of BodySlam followed up on those comments by reporting that sources have stated a “deal is in place” for Pillman Jr. to join WWE and that the star will be moving to Orlando, Florida where he will train at the WWE Performance Center full-time before likely starting in NXT.

Pillman Jr. has also canceled wrestling commitments for later in 2023 that had connections with AEW talent and coaches.
