Becky Lynch Teases Huge WrestleMania Match With WWE Rival
Becky Lynch would be willing to face one of her greatest WWE rivals in a singles match at WrestleMania.
During her decade-long run on the WWE main roster, Becky Lynch has solidified herself as a legendary women’s wrestler. Lynch has won the Women’s World Titles in WWE a total of 7 times, is a former 2-time Women’s Intercontinental Champion, and has no problem bragging about her greatness, either.
When it comes to naming Lynch’s greatest rival, there are many contenders, including Bayley, Sasha Banks, Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, AJ Lee, and others. However, the one name most fans would likely mention is Charlotte Flair.
Lynch and Flair have a long history: they were best friends in their NXT days in the early 2010s, then went to the main roster together, and both women have publicly talked about how things fell apart while chasing similar career goals. They have repaired things in the past, but only they know how close they really are.
Would Becky Lynch Want To Face Charlotte Flair At WrestleMania?
Regarding their WrestleMania history, Flair won a triple threat match over Lynch (and Sasha Banks) at WrestleMania 32 in 2016, and then Lynch won the WrestleMania 35 main event over Flair and Ronda Rousey, marking the first time women main-evented a WrestleMania.
What Lynch and Flair haven’t done is have a singles match at WrestleMania. When Lynch was asked about it on the Cheap Heat podcast, Lynch seemed interested in possibly facing Flair in a singles match at WrestleMania down the road.
“I don’t see why not. I would say it’s always on the docket. Anytime we come back to fight each other, there’s always killings, and there’s always interest, and there’s always energy.
People always want to see us beat the bejesus out of each other. And isn’t that a fun place to be, because I love beating the bejesus out of her.”
In the same interview, Becky Lynch agreed with Charlotte Flair’s take that the Four Horsewomen of Flair, Lynch, Bayley, and Sasha Banks (aka Mercedes Mone in AEW) belong on the women’s wrestling Mount Rushmore.
