Vince McMahon's Internal WWE Statement Over Search Warrant Leaked

Vince McMahon

An internal statement from Vince McMahon to WWE employees has been leaked following the news that McMahon had been issued a grand jury subpoena and was subject to a search warrant.

WWE disclosed the news earlier today in an SEC filing for their Second Quarter 2023 Financial reports, but the company also noted that no charges had been levied at McMahon over the investigations at this point.

Now, McMahon himself has released a statement internally to WWE employees regarding the news, which has since been leaked by WrestleVotes on X (formerly Twitter).

The Executive Chairman stated that he was confident he will not be found of any wrongdoing as a result of this government investigation. He went on to say his focus is currently on recovering from his recent spinal surgery and the company’s sale to Endeavour.

“In 2022, WWE formed a special committee to review allegations of misconduct against me. That review was concluded in November 2022 following an extensive investigation. Throughout this experience, I have always denied any intentional wrongdoing and continue to do so.

I am confident that the government’s investigation will be resolved without any findings of wrongdoing. I am focused on completing the recovery process from my recent spinal surgery and on closing our transaction with Endeavour, which will create one of the preemient global sports and entertainment brands.”

Seth Rollins

"I Was Very Frustrated" - Seth Rollins Details 2022 Backstage Issues

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins has opened up about his backstage frustrations in early 2022 over his “difficult” creative direction at the time.

The current WWE World Heavyweight Champion faced a turbulent start to 2022 prior to his acclaimed WrestleMania 38 bout with the returning Cody Rhodes.

Despite challenging for the WWE title at both Day 1 and Elimination Chamber and the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble, Rollins’ Road To WrestleMania seemed questionably paced to fans. Now, Rollins himself has revealed he felt those issues as well, particularly backstage.

Speaking on the SI Media podcast, Rollins revealed that the creative process at that time was “very frustrating” and that he let those backstage know loud and clear.

“There is like two to three different instances that I’m not going to get into specifically, but essentially from the Day 1 pay-per-view to getting the match with Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania, that process was very frustrating for me.

It ended in a good way and we got into a good place, but getting there was not ideal, and I very much voiced my concerns at that point in time.”

Rollins went on to explain what specifically frustrated him, stating that creative plans were changed every week and he didn’t want to go into WrestleMania with “some sort of b****rdized version of what could be good” before plans for Cody Rhodes’ debut aligned.

Tony Khan

Tony Khan Fires Back At Triple H Over "Secondary Promotion" Jab

Tony Khan AEW

Tony Khan has responded to Triple H’s recent jab at AEW where he claimed Khan’s brand was “a secondary promotion.”

In WWE’s latest Peacock documentary ‘American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes’, WWE CCO Triple H didn’t hold back with his thoughts on Rhodes’ former home of AEW. The Game discussed Rhodes’ exit from the promotion, stating that he took a gamble and ultimately didn’t want to be “the champion or the face of a secondary promotion.”

AEW President Tony Khan seemingly took exception to Triple H’s comments and fired back at the current WWE Head of Creative. In a new interview with the Orlando Sentinel, Khan fired back and stated that AEW is in fact the top promotion in the UK and elsewhere and that this would be shown especially at All In later this month.

“We certainly won’t be the secondary promotion at All In. We’re No. 1 in the UK, on TV and with a record gate. I have a lot of respect for Cody. I know these weren’t his words, to be fair, but we’re not secondary in a lot of markets — for the first time in a long time, WWE has been secondary in a lot of markets. … I’m proud of where we’re at and we’re not taking a back seat to anybody.”

AEW

The Elite Officially Re-Sign With AEW

The Elite Adam Page Kenny Omega Matt Jackson Nick Jackson The Young Bucks entrance at AEW Double or Nothing

After much speculation regarding the future of Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks and Adam Page, The Elite will be remaining with AEW.

Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso reported that all five stars have re-signed with All Elite Wrestling and have put pen to paper with new multi-year deals ahead of AEW Dynamite’s 200th episode tonight.

Tony Khan discussed how instrumental all four men have been in the success of the promotion and shared how excited he was that they will be remaining All Elite for many years to come:

“The Elite have been so important to the launch of AEW, with the Young Bucks going all in when I first approached them in 2018 about my dream to create an international pro wrestling promotion.

Shortly after that, their partners and closest friends Kenny Omega and ‘Hangman’ Adam Page joined us to formally launch All Elite Wrestling. All four of them have been instrumental to AEW’s success from the very first episode of Dynamite in 2019 through the present day.

“Now, as we celebrate tonight’s 200th episode of Dynamite, I’m excited to share that Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and Hangman Adam Page will all be staying in AEW for years to come. We look forward to celebrating the great news with fans around the world.”

Marina Shafir

AEW Star Appears In SummerSlam Vignette

Marina Shafir, Jessamyn Duke, Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey

Eagle-eyed fans spotted an appearance from a current AEW star in a vignette for Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler’s SummerSlam clash!

On this week’s RAW, a vignette was aired to set up Ronda Rousey against Shayna Baszler in an MMA Rules match at SummerSlam. The vignette detailed Rousey & Baszler’s long-standing history, going back to their MMA days.

At one point in the vignette, Baszler discussed living with Ronda alongside two other fighters – referencing their MMA quartet The Four Horsewomen. Whilst the group’s name, nor its two other members, were mentioned, still photos of the four were shown on-screen doing their signature pose.

The photos are notable as Marina Shafir, one of the two unacknowledged members of the group, is an active competitor on the AEW roster. Shafir was previously signed to WWE, competing on NXT as well as one edition of the infamous RAW Underground, but was released in June 2021.

Cora Jade

Former Champion Announces NXT Departure

Cora Jade

Cora Jade has seemingly announced her departure from NXT following recent frustrations within the black and gold brand.

During last night’s edition of NXT, Jade stormed into the women’s locker room, grabbed a handful of fan mail and stated that the fans didn’t really care about her. She then wished the rest of the roster “good luck” without her and revealed she was leaving before walking out. Following the segment, she posted a peace sign emoji on her Instagram Story.

The former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion has had a tumultuous time in NXT as of late. Back on July 29th, Jade lost a Kendo Stick match to Dana Brooke in what was seemingly the end of their weeks-long feud.

Jade went on to criticise the fact that she hasn’t appeared at an NXT Premium Live Event since April 2022’s Stand & Deliver on X (formerly Twitter) before deactivating her account.

Per court documents via PWInsider, Sunny has been charged with one count of DUI Manslaughter, one count of causing death while operating a vehicle with a suspended/revoked driver’s license, four counts of DUI causing injury to a person and three counts of DUI causing damage to property.

Two of the nine charges are considered felonies of the third degree. If found guilty of the DUI Manslaughter charge, Sytch could be imprisoned for up to 30 years for a minimum of at least four years and $10,000 in fines.

Riddle

Matt Riddle Hits Out At WWE Following Upset Loss

Matt Riddle making his entrance at WWE Money In The Bank 2023

Matt Riddle is less than impressed with his recent WWE booking, hitting out at the promotion in a new tweet!

The ex-UFC fighter has had a mixed experience since returning to WWE, currently holding a 3-6 win/loss record since his reappearance in April. One of those wins was over Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser back in June, who shockingly defeated Riddle clean on this week’s RAW.

Now, Riddle has taken a shot at the loss, and his recent WWE booking as a whole, on social media. Posting on X (formerly Twitter), the former United States champion quipped that it was easier to win “real fights” in the UFC than matches in WWE.

Attached to the tweet was footage of Riddle’s win over Dan Simmler from The Ultimate Fighter, where Simmler was knocked out with a stray punch just seconds into the fight’s second round.
