AJ Styles Faces CM Punk For World Title On Possibly His Final WWE RAW

AJ Styles receives a massive opportunity on WWE RAW before facing Gunther at Royal Rumble.

The Phenomenal One is scheduled to face The Ring General this Saturday with his career on the line. Ahead of the highly anticipated clash, Styles kicked off tonight’s episode of RAW.

The former WWE Champion claimed he was not done yet, disclosing his desire to face several superstars and win another world title before retiring this year, as he previously announced.

CM Punk Interrupts AJ Styles On WWE RAW

After revealing his desire to become a world champion again, AJ Styles was interrupted by the current World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk. The Second City Saint acknowledged the personal relationship between him and The Phenomenal One before questioning the latter’s decision to put his career on the line against Gunther.

Styles was not pleased by Punk’s implication that he might be unable to beat The Ring General. The 48-year-old told Punk that he knows he can defeat Gunther and even him.

The Phenomenal One then challenged The Second City Saint to a match tonight, with the stipulation that if he wins, he becomes the number-one contender for the World Heavyweight Title after Royal Rumble. Punk responded by stating that he promised to be a fighting champion, pointing out that if he faced Styles tonight, it would be for the belt.

Later on the show, Michael Cole announced that RAW General Manager Adam Pearce has made the match official.
