It’s time to acknowledge the “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns for hitting a major WWE milestone.

The date of October 31 is the debut anniversary of the current Undisputed WWE Universal Roman Reigns. More specifically, it was the date in 2012 when Reigns (using that name) made his WWE NXT debut.

A tweet was shared by WWE on BT Sport showing the video of Reigns defeating CJ Parker in a singles match.

As you can hear in the video, the commentary was high on Reigns calling him a “star” in his very first televised match. A longer video of Roman’s NXT debut is on WWE’s Youtube channel as well.

It was on November 18, 2012 when Reigns made his WWE main roster debut at Survivor Series. Reigns, along with a debuting Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose, formed The Shield stable that helped CM Punk retain the WWE Title when they put Ryback through the commentary table. Punk would go on to pin John Cena in the triple threat match to retain the WWE Title.

Reigns signed with WWE in 2010 at the age of 25 after his football career ended. Back then it was the Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) territory as WWE’s developmental system prior to NXT. Reigns used the name Roman Leakee and then just Leakee after that. The above match that aired on October 31, 2012 was his debut using the full Roman Reigns name.

On the October 28th episode of Smackdown, Reigns was part of a memorable in-ring segment with fellow Bloodline members The Usos, Solo Sikoa, Sami Zayn and Special Counsel, Paul Heyman. During the segment, Zayn had a funny line about how Jey Uso “wasn’t being very ucey” which led to Reigns and Jey laughing while Jimmy covered his mouth to prevent himself from laughing.

The leader of The Bloodline is advertised for tonight’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw ahead of his title defense against Logan Paul at Crown Jewel this Saturday, November 5th.
